Parish art exhibition entry date extended
Kilcullen Parish is organising a Family Art exhibition in association with the World Meeting of Families taking place next year in Ireland, writes Brian Byrne.
The initiative invites families and individuals to come up with art pieces based on the theme of Family Life in Ireland, which will be used in a parish exhibition.
The pieces will then be digitised and submitted for display at the WMF event next August.
Prizes will be offered in age categories: 4-6 years, 7-10 years, 11-13 years, 14-18 years and there's an Adult category too.
The submissions can be drawn or painted on any material, using any medium. They shouldn't be smaller than A4 or larger than A2. Names and ages need to be put on the back, and pieces must be submitted on the flat. A box at the back of the church will be in place, beside the notice board, where the art pieces can be left.
The closing date is 5pm on 24 November.
