TD hosting tea morning for suicide service
As part of the Suicide or Survive National Tea Break Campaign, local TD Martin Heydon is hosting a coffee morning in his office in Newbridge next Friday 30 September from 10am-12pm, writes Brian Byrne. Everybody is welcome.
The mission of SOS is to get the nation talking about their mental health.
At each Tea Break, the organisation is asking supporters to discuss mental health and wellness in a relaxed atmosphere.
SOS was founded by Caroline McGuigan, who attempted suicide herself and is very au fait with the limited services available for people in that situation. She is now a trained counsellor and has put together a very strong team of professionals to provide services.
The organisation runs a series of programmes and workshops on wellness and other areas associated with suicide prevention and mental health.
