Sewerage smell on Main Street raised at meeting

The issue of the smell of sewerage which is currently affecting Main Street was raised at the recent meeting of Kilcullen Community Action, writes Brian Byrne.

Dr Brian Dunne attended the meeting and said he has raised the matter with Kildare County Council, Irish Water and the Environmental Protection Agency.

He told the meeting that he is gathering support in writing from businesses and residents on Main Street, and will raise the issue at the forthcoming meeting with public representatives, organised by KCA for 10 October.

All Naas MD councillors and Kildare South TDs have been invited to the meeting which is open to the public and will start at 8pm in Kilcullen Town Hall.

A list of other matters of concern is being prepared by KCA for the meeting.
