Reminder: Dawn Walk for Pieta House on Saturday
It seems there has been an extraordinarily strong response to the Dawn Walk in aid of Pieta House which will take place through New Abbey Stud this Saturday, 18 July.
The event is being organised by Lorna Brophy and Richie Kelly, and registration will take place at The Square in Kilcullen at 3.30am. It's hoped that the walk can begin shortly after 4am, and it should take no longer than an hour. It's a very special opportunity, so if you haven't put it in your weekend diary yet, consider it.
The weather looks decent enough, maybe 11degC, partly cloudy, very small chance of a shower.
No dogs are permitted on the walk, by request of New Abbey Stud.
Associated with the walk will be a Music and Pig on a Spit night in O'Connells Pub from 8pm. A Raffle on the nights will add to the funds. Prizes include a pair of Ed Sheeran tickets; a mid-week break for two at Renvyle House, including two nights B&B and and evening meal; golf and lunch for two in Mount Juliet estate, hair and beauty vouchers and lots more.
Tickets to both events are €10, but registration to walk includes entry to the O'Connells evening event.
All proceeds go to Pieta House.
