Banker students show mobile, internet advantages
A number of Kilcullen's Seniors (and pre-Seniors) were treated to an enthusiastic and very clear presentation on internet and mobile banking on Friday night, writes Brian Byrne.
The 'Cashino Royale' group of TY students from Cross & Passion College also entertained those attending with music and card games in a 'casino' setting in the Parish Centre, during which the young people circulated and gave demonstrations of the systems available from AIB, which is sponsoring a national schools competition among school banks.
The CPC group have already won through the regional finals of the competition and will be competing amongst the other finalists for the national title in the coming weeks.
In addition to the entertainment and the demonstrations, there was great chat, copious cups of tea ... and the Lemon Drizzle Cake was to die for.
We wish them all the best in the finals, and won't be surprised if yet another national title is brought home to the College.
