Great result for KBC Juveniles

On Saturday 12 October our U15 and U17 boys and ladies took part in their first Round Robin competiton ran in Terenure Dublin, writes Enda O'Neill of Kilcullen Badminton Club. Both age groups managed to secure more silverware for the club.

Mathew Kelly and Gavin Dempsey took gold in their U15 Boys Cup. Gavin also had some success in the U15 Boys Singles, being beaten in the boys Singles Semi Finals in a difficult match 30-23.

In the U17 Ladies Singles Aoife Stafford took Silver in the Cup while Rachel Downey took Gold in the U17 Ladies Plate.

The U17 Mens doubles of Ben Phelan and Stephen Ryan took Gold Medals in the Plate, beating a Naas pair 30-28 in an exciting but difficult final. The U17 Mens Singles Plate was won by Colin Pavon Valroy beating fellow Kilcullen man Stephen Ryan. KBC Juveniles took home four Gold medals and two Silver medals.

This is a great result for the KBC Juveniles as it was some of the players first ever tournament. Well done to all who took part.
