KiYC to host bands gig in theatre

Six local bands will showcase their original music in a 'Music in Mind' gig at Kilcullen Town Hall Theatre on Thursday, February 28.

The night kicks off at 7:30pm and is organised in association with KiYC2 and 02 Think Big Ireland.

The bands involved include Fool the Joker, Fenton Blue, Falling Feet First, Cursed by Gypsies, Be Curious Kid, and there will be an appearance by Slap. Guest MC is Paul Walshe from RoySeven and entry is €5. It's a strictly no alcohol event, and there will be a tuckshop.

It will be an interactive night, with audience and bands discussing what it's like to play original music in a local concert environment.

The project's funding by 02 Think Big reflects the organisation's belief that music is a way of encouraging a healthy and positive attitude towards Mental Health amongst young people.
