Seoirse Mhor on video

The band Fleadh, which includes former Kilcullen man Paul Durney, have made their first video.

Paul, who has lived and worked as a musician in Germany for many years, under the name Seoirse Mhor, tells the Diary that the video was needed as a 'sampler' for their participation in the Folk-in-Schlosshof Festival 2012.

“The video will be on a pre-festival DVD to be used for publicity,” he says. “Along with cameraman and video designer Thomas Fink the band recorded the first track ’Lord Mayo & Maids of Mt Cisco’ from our current CD ’Humpy & Lumpy’."

The film required a whole day on the set and a lot more days (and nights) for the final cut to be turned out. Patience was required but in the end a very pleasing result for all involved. Check it out here.
