Playground fundraising closes

After so many years in the planning, Kilcullen looks set to get its playground this year as preparations reach the final stages. The fundraising drive launched in November last year is now officially closed, having raised a magnificent €16,000. What a testament to the community spirit that makes Kilcullen so unique!

As we now have sufficient funds to match those offered by the Kildare Leader Project, the committee has been busy with its final tasks - such as debating how long the zip wire should be and whether there will be room for a climbing net. Of course, there is also the small matter of ensuring the grant application is completed.
