The Passing of Sam Sloan

The Diary has learned with sadness of the death of Sam Sloan, who recently celebrated his 80th birthday. He had been ill for the last while.

He will be sadly missed by his children Fergal, Ciaran and Fiona, his son-in-law Ray, daughters-in-law Eilis and Deirdre, grandsons Oísin and Fionn, his brothers and sisters and his wide extended family, as well as his many friends. To all of them we extend our most heartfelt sympathies.

Sam's remains will be brought to Ray and Fiona's home at Nicholastown at 6pm tomorrow, Saturday. His funeral will take place to Crookstown Cemetery after 11 o'clock mass in Kilcullen Parish Church on Monday morning.
