Wall application to be lodged

The planning application for the long-mooted changes to the wall along the CPC/KARE building is being lodged this week.

The proposal is to replace the 125 metres of high wall with a low wall topped by a railing, which would both improve the local environment and make the grounds of the complex more open to view.

The initiative is a KCA one and discussions with the school and KARE have been ongoing for some time.

The recent meeting of the organisation was told that the design includes two insets to break the long wall. There's a plan to later fit two granite seats in these, which would require sponsorship.
