Dedicated parish website coming

An official Kilcullen & Gormanstown Parish website will be going online in the first week of December.

The site will provide details of the churches and schools in the parish, as well as being a resource for news items about parish matters.

It will also offer links to information about other parish groups such as the choir, the Pastoral Council, and any other similar group that requires such a facility.

A group of parishioners who have volunteered to help run the operation met with the developer, Jason Stone, at the weekend for a demonstration of the site.

Over the coming month they will familiarise themselves with managing the various components of the site, which is not yet 'live' to the public.

They include Howard Berney, Niamh Murray, Philomena Breslin, Mary Orford, Eilish Keogh and Petra Conroy. Also present were Fr Michael Murphy PP and Parish Office staff Vivienne Byrne and Valerie McTernan.

The group members are also considering just what kind of information might be posted in newsletter form. At a later date, the site might also incorporate an online Parish Register.
