Pity about the wires

Wouldn't it have been nice if some arrangement had been made with the ESB to put the unsightly wires going across the river underground while the recent work was being done on the bridge?



Probably too much to expect, though, given that the state electricity company didn't take the previous opportunity to do so, either, when the new Credit Union building was in construction.



They were quick enough to slap on a €3,000 charge to the community's effort for the Christmas lights, though.
