Dunleas dealership changes hands

On Friday evening last, a little bit of local history closed a chapter when the Dunleas of Kilcullen Nissan dealership left the hands of the founding family.

The business has been taken over by Anthony Murray, formerly of the Ray O'Brien Motor Group in Newhall, Naas.

A number of the Dunleas staff had already left in advance of the sale, but they all gathered at 5pm for a picture before heading off down town for a 'few lemonades'.

"Some of Pat's employees were with him decades, which gives a true picture of the employer he was," Eilis Keogh told the Diary. "We not only lost our boss on the 22nd September but we also our friend and mentor."

Eilis also revealed that every work morning one of her duties since last January was to print the Diary articles for 'The Boss', even while he was in hospital.

The Diary wishes all the staff the very best in their future.
