Successful Lions classic

More than 130 golfers took part in the recent Kilcullen Lions Club Golf Classic in Baltinglass, which raised money towards the provision of defibrillator units for Kilcullen.

The units could play a critical part in saving lives of people who suffer unexpected heart attacks in the community.

The Diary hasn't yet been informed of the money raised, or who won the classic.

But the cause is good, as we have reported a number of times.

Meanwhile, the Kilcullen Lions has a new President, Paul Carey. He succeeds Jim Kiely.

Brian Byrne.
