Christmas lights work under way

Work has begun on the infrastructure for the new Christmas lights system, which is being provided by Newpark Electrical.



Kilcullen Community Action recently agreed that the project should be outsourced to a private contractor rather than be done by the voluntary effort of previous years.

The cost of almost €11,000 is to be raised through a 'donation envelope' campaign throughout the parish.

It is four years since the last collection for Christmas lights, and a substantial amount of the cost of the new system will not be recurring in coming years.
