Foroige still needs leaders

Kilcullen's Foroige Club has made another, and possibly final appeal for new leaders, after failing to attract any for the last four years.

In a letter to The Bridge, current leaders Esther Kiely, Anne Bathe and Laura Kernaghan have warned that without new leaders, 'this will probably be the last year' of the club.

"As the population of the town expands, so too does the number of teenagers," they write. "This is the only club in town that caters for teenagers who may not be interested in sport, and provides a very important opportunity for these youngsters to assemble in a safe environment."

The signatories are appealing for help from adults who are willing to give an hour and a half on a Friday evening.
