KCA legal worry over letter

A letter from Pat Dunlea to Kilcullen Community Action was not discussed at the recent postponed meeting, because it had been handed to the group's solicitor 'for a legal opinion'.

Chairman for the evening Noel Clare said KCA had been 'strongly advised' not to put the letter into the public forum pending the advice.

"There were people who felt part of the letter was libellous to them," he said. "And we were advised that a legal injunction might be taken against KCA if it were to be put in the public domain."

The chairman said he would not entertain any discussion on the content of the letter until a reply from the solicitor was obtained.
