The passing of Ger Deegan

The Diary has learned of the death of Geraldine (Ger) Deegan, Ryans Field, Newbridge, and formerly Kilcullen and London UK. Ger passed away peacefully on 11 February 2025, in the wonderful care of Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home, in the company of her loving family. 

Daughter of the late William and Josephine, and sister of the late Pat, Josephine (Ciss), Rose, Liam and Robert, she is sadly missed by her brother Albert, sisters in law Janette and Chrissie, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

She will be reposing at Glennons Funeral Home, 32 Main Street, Newbridge from 5pm on Thursday (13th February) concluding with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at The Church of Sacred Heart and St Brigid, Kilcullen for requiem mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in New Abbey Cemetery, Kilcullen. 

Geraldine's funeral mass will be live streamed and can be viewed on the church's webcam.
