Storm brought down trees, cut power

Roads and some power supply in the area were affected by yesterday's windy and rainy conditions, as Ireland's east and south coasts got the tail of Storm Claudia.

The power outage affected Yellow Bog and parts of Nicholastown in the late afternoon. 

A tree came down between Yellow Bog Cross and another near Mylerstown Cross at the junction to Two Mile House. Another had to be cleared on the Sunnyhill-Curragh Road.

Local remaining power outages

As of 7.24am this morning, ESB Networks has notices of 26 customers without power in Two Mile House since 9.48am Friday, 16 out in Gilltown since 2.07am Friday, 132 in Calverstown since 3.50pm yesterday. 

There's no indication of a time for restoration of power.

Power was restored to the last of some 1,327 customers in Kilcullen affected by the storm was restored shortly after 8pm last evening.
