WEATHER

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, with mist and fog lingering in places, although there will be a few bright or sunny breaks. A lot of dry weather overall, but patchy drizzle will also occur. Highest temperatures of 10 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.

The Alpine swift, native to Switzerland and weighing just 91 grams, can stay airborne for up to 200 days during migration, during which they eat insects and even sleep in flight. They spend nearly all their lives in the air, although they do roost and breed on cliff faces and other high, rocky places.

Local girl Emma Kelly's son, Pàdraig Curran, gets to be the mascot living out his dream at the Manchester City match tonight at the Etihad Stadium.
