First the run, then meet Santa
Despite the blustery but dry weather this evening, there was a nice turnout for the Family 2.5K Walk-Run at Kilcullen GAA, writes Brian Byrne, the precursor for tomorrow's more than 1,000-participant Run, Run, Rudolph!
First, everyone counted down for the switch-on of the first outdoor Rags Christmas Tree. After two and a half laps of the Community Walkway, everyone retired to the clubhouse for refreshments and Santa goodies.
Tomorrow morning's main event includes some 260 people running the new half-marathon, along with groups doing 10K and 5K.
All are welcome to come and cheer them on, from 10.30am, as they get ready.
