Draw in Kilcullen AFC and transplant team soccer challenge

A challenge football match between Kilcullen AFC and members of the Transplant Sport Ireland team at the weekend ended in a 1-1 draw. The 7-a-side high-tempo match was hosted by Kilcullen at the AFC grounds.

Organised by Greg Curran, the Kilcullen side was composed of Kilcullen AFC coaches and the visitors were all men who had received a second chance at life through organ transplants. Kilcullen's Dan Reynolds played guest goalkeeper for the TSI side.

Thanking all for the event, Kilcullen's James Nolan said the ultimate message from the day was to showcase the success of organ donation.
