A comprehensive survey of traffic flow and pedestrian movements in Kilcullen has just been completed, writes Brian Byrne.
The survey has been going on since 6 May and involved 19 cameras installed at key locations, along with a mobile monitoring unit which drove through the town every hour.
The study was commissioned by Kildare County Council and recorded traffic flow, density, parking turnover, and pedestrian movements. The data collected from these cameras will be used to inform future transportation decisions in Kilcullen.
