Street closure in Newbridge for Family Fun

A reminder that the lower half of Newbridge Main Street will be closed to traffic TODAY, bank holiday Monday, to facilitate a Family Fun Day, writes Brian Byrne. The section involved is from Bank of Ireland to the Riverbank Arts Centre.

The event includes food stalls, a carnival with funfair rides, arts and crafts stalls, music, an obstacle course for children and lots more.

Community and voluntary groups will also have stands to increase awareness of their causes, and raise funds.

The five-hour event starts at noon and is part of June Fest. It is sponsored by Life Credit Union and supported by Kildare County Council.
