Valley Family Fun Day in May

The Family Fun Day in the Valley organised by Kilcullen Community Action will again feature Mr Bubbles who captivated children last year with magic and a Punch & Judy Show, writes Brian Byrne. The free event is on the afternoon of 17 May.
At the recent KCA meeting, Antoinette Buckley also confirmed some of the other returning attractions, including the Woodbine Books storytelling "that was very popular over the last couple of years." There will also be face-painting, a music DJ, and free ice cream for children.
"The day will also be Fancy Dress themed for the children, with prizes for first, second and third," Antoinette said. "Last year we found a few extra prizes and it was very nice to be able to give them to the kids."
The return of the Duck Race to the Liffey, not seen since the last River Festival, will be a Lions Club fundraiser for local charities. The meeting heard that there will be opportunities in the days before to 'buy' racing ducks at €5 apiece.
The Family Fun Day is presented by KCA with support from Kildare County Council and Kildare Credit Union.
