Shamrocks win over Naas

The South Kildare Shamrocks U14 hurling team got their league campaign off to a great start in Kilcullen, writes Martin Sheridan. The final score was Shamrocks 4-6, Naas 2-8. 

On a bitterly cold evening with a sharp breeze in play, all the boys from both teams kept us all on our toes. Shamrocks had the better of the opening half and with about ten minutes to go the Naas boys had it back to a 2 points difference.

A very strong finish from a very determined bunch of our lads got the Shamrocks over the line. 

Very well done to all involved.
