The second annual
Music Table Quiz organised by the
Kilcullen Choristers was held last night in the Kilcullen GAA Clubhouse,
writes Brian Byrne. The event, to raise funds for a day trip to Waterford in April, was organised completely by the youngsters, aged 6-12.
Formed in January 2020 as the Choristers of Saint Brigid, by Niamh Traynor and Peter Moloney, there are currently ten members, with a new term starting next September allowing opportunity for more youngsters with an interest in singing to join.
The Choristers offer a unique experience for children who have a love of music. It also sets a foundation for future musical involvement. "A former member, Beth Swaine, played the part of Jasmine in last year's CPC musical Aladdin," Niamh Traynor notes.
A surprise presentation was made at last night's event to Juliet Coleman, who graduated from the group.
