The Saint-Contest visit continues
The ongoing visit by the delegation from Kilcullen's twin town Saint-Contest in Normandy today took them to Glendalough, writes Brian Byrne. Following a picnic lunch, the group, including some of their hosts, stopped by a local woollen mills shop and then made their way back to Newbridge Cutlery and a private tour of the Museum of Style Icons.
This evening's dinner was in The Hideout.
Tomorrow is the final official day of the visit, and will begin with a cookery demonstration at Kalbarri. A meeting with Kildare County Council officials and public representatives at lunchtime in the Heritage Centre will be followed by a concluding Community event with music and dancing to which everyone is welcome.
