Kilcullen Opticians supporting Guide Dogs

Nichola Kennedy's Kilcullen Opticians are using proceeds from private eye examinations during January and February to sponsor a Guide Dog for the Blind, writes Brian Byrne. The initiative is also a reminder to people to have eyes tested if it has been some time since they've done so.

"If it has been more than 12-24 months since your last eye test this is really something your should do," Nichola says in her latest Spectator Newsletter. "Start the new year right with your sight." She notes the sobering fact that many people who lose their vision could have prevented it by having a regular eye exam.

Guide Dogs provide help to hundreds of blind and partially sighted people across Ireland through the provision of their guide dogs, autism assistance dogs and community dogs as well as their mobility and rehabilitation services.
