Appreciate the new walkway, bag-up after your dog!

As someone who likes to take a brisk 4km walk most days, I very much appreciate the new walkway around the Kilcullen GAA Field of Dreams, writes Brian Byrne. So do many others, it seems, including other exercise walkers, children on scooters, runners, and families out for a stroll in the fresh air.
Many thanks to all those good folks at the GAA, and their Field of Dreams project partners like Kilsaran which laid the tarmac surface on the walkway and the new car park, for providing a splendid new amenity open to the whole community of Kilcullen.
There is a 'but', though. In this case, the uncaring dog owners who are also taking advantage of the walkway without a shred of responsibility to bag-up after their dogs have done their business.
It is always only the few, among the very many responsible dog owners, who, literally, muck it up for all.
The lights and CCTV cameras will be going up around the walkway shortly. Then those who don't care about the other users will be easily exposed. They might as well begin cleaning up their act now.
