Kilcullen AFC U17s awards
Kilcullen AFC U17s recently held their end of season awards night in The Hideout Kilcullen, writes Nicky Kelly. The team were celebrating a fantastic first season together. Playing in the KDUL U17 premier division, in which they finished 3rd and topped it off by winning the U17s Cup, beating Naas AFC 4-1 in the final.
It was great to have former Kilcullen AFC and current Bray Wanderers player Jamie Duggan in attendance to present the awards to the lads on the night.
With 25 goals across all competitions, Rocco Roche won the top goal scorer award. Team captain Dan Collins was presented with the Player's Pplayer of the Year award and Zack Farrell and Rocco Roche jointly won the Coaches Player of the Year award.
Coaches Nicky, Greg and Mick praised all the players for their efforts and commitment throughout the season. All will now enjoy a well-earned summer break and are looking forward to hopefully another successful season beginning this September.
Thanks to all who attended on the night, especially Jamie Duggan for taking time out of his busy schedule to give back to the club, and to The Hideout for the delicious food and looking after everyone on the night.
