Creative Writing Summer Camp for Young Authors

A Creative Writing Summer Camp for Young Authors aged 7-13 years will be held at Riverbank Arts Centre this July, hosted by Kildare-based author Emma-Jane Leeson.

Participants can expect a fun, engaging and supportive environment to imagine and explore different techniques and styles. With lots of fun exercises and modules, this camp will help young writers hone into their unique writing voice and empower them to continue writing into the future.

EJ (Emma-Jane) was the 2022 Kildare Library Reader in Residence and is the author of the highly popular Johnny Magory book series. She was also listed as one of the Irish Times Bestselling Authors with her book ‘I Am Brigid’. She is currently working on animating the world of Johnny Magory with funding from Screen Ireland.

Creative Writing Summer Camp for Young Authors will take place from Monday 8th to Friday 12th July, 10am-2pm daily. Tickets are priced €130 (sibling discount available) and can be booked through the Box Office, either in person or by telephone on 045 448327 Monday to Friday 9.30am-5pm (closed for lunch 2-2.30) and Saturday 10am-1pm.
