Kilcullen bus stop hitch on new route

TFI LocalLink have announced that from today, Thursday 9 May, the bus stops at Avondale Drive and opposite the Applegreen Service Station will not be served by the new Route 892 Newbridge-Kilcullen-Dunlavin, writes Brian Byrne.

The service may be accessed at the St Brigid's School (Scoil Bhride) stop. TFI LocalLink apologise for any inconvenience, and say they are working to find an alternative solution. The problem is that the larger bus is not able to turn safely at Avondale Drive, and an even larger 36-seat one is planned for the route.

The timetables for the route can be found here. Route 892 offers eight daily return services between Kilcullen and Newbridge, with four daily return services extending to Dunlavin, Monday to Saturday. There will be seven Sunday daily return services between Kilcullen and Newbridge, with three daily return services extending to Dunlavin. 

The route began service last Tuesday.
