Play Gala Night for local singers' Relay for Life group

Members of Kilcullen Gospel Choir have formed a team to participate in the Kildare Relay for Life, writes Sabina Reddy. As one of our fundraiser activities we are hosting the Gala Night of Kilcullen Drama Group’s production of A Skull in Connemara by Martin McDonagh on Friday 26 April at Kilcullen Town Hall Theatre. There will be a cheese and wine reception at 7.30pm before curtain up at 8pm.
We will also have candle bags for sale at €5 at the reception but we will also be selling them locally prior to the Relay For Life event on the weekend of 6 July 2024 at the Curragh Racecourse.
The Irish Cancer Society Relay For Life is the biggest cancer fundraising initiative in the world. Relay For Life is a 24-hour event that sees local communities coming together to celebrate cancer survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer, and stand shoulder to shoulder with those facing cancer.
Relay For Life is a celebration of solidarity and helps to raise awareness of the services provided by the Irish Cancer Society locally and nationally. Candle bags are sold prior to the event and are put out in rows in front of the racetrack stand.  They would be decorated by family and friends and the names of the cancer persons.  Different teams from around the county fundraise prior to the event and will also have stalls on the weekend.
We look forward to the Gala Night of A Skull in Connemara and will appreciate all support. Tickets are available from Gospel Choir members or by contacting 087 4707652.
Please keep an eye out for the Kilcullen Gospel Choir Relay for Life Team's further fundraising events.
