Summer musical Fairy Trail day in planning

A Valley Park Fairy Trail event is being planned for mid August, tentatively for Saturday 17th, writes Brian Byrne.

Antoinette Buckley told the March open meeting of Kilcullen Community Action that the music element of the re-launch of the Trail last year had been 'really lovely' and she hoped it would be possible to expand on that this year. 

Last year's event attracted a large contingent of youngsters and their parents, and along with the music there was face-painting and ice cream and the opportunity to see the upgrades to the trail, first installed in 2019 as part of Kilcullen 700.

The improvements had been made possible with funding allocated by Cllr Tracey O’Dwyer and Cllr Fiona Mc Loughlin Healy, a grant from Kildare Credit Union, and a fundraiser event held in Fallons in 2022 by Paula Phelan and Michelle Reddy.
