Recent Burkes Pharmacy walk-run raises €6,000

The Burkes Pharmacy Group fundraising Walk and Run held last weekend raised a total of €6,000, writes Antoinette Buckley.  This includes a €1,000 donation from Joan Kilgallen of Burkes Pharmacy Group and a €600 donation online from one of our sponsors on the day. 

The funds raised will go to the Teach Tearmainn work providing support to families in Kildare and West Wicklow experiencing domestic violence. We also have €200 worth of products — shampoo, toothpaste, shower gels and a €50 euro One for All Voucher — to donate. 

It was a team effort from our amazing staff in Burkes with Kilcullen GAA, Kilcullen Community Centre, OT Leader Noel O’Connell, Amy Barker of the Kilcullen Run Club, Britvic, Kilcullen Garda, and all the runners and walkers who supported the event on the day. A big thank you to all of our lovely loyal customers.

The spot prize winners were announced this morning and contacted by a member of our team. Twenty spot prizes are ready for collection in Burkes Pharmacy Naas. Congratulations to all the winners!

Burkes Pharmacy Group will also sponsor the Kilcullen GAA Senior Team jerseys for 2024 to the tune of €1,500.
