The passing of Pat Hickey

The Diary has been informed of the death of Patrick (Pat) Hickey, Montgomery Street, Carlow and formerly Calverstown, on February 2024, peacefully, the the company of his family, in the care of the wonderful staff of St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. 

Predeceased by his brothers Baby Michael and John and his sister Rosario, Pat is sadly missed by his brothers Tom, Micháel and Joe, his sister-in-law Elizabeth and brother-in-law Anthony, nephews, Raymond, Cormac, Lorcan, Ciaran, Michael, Tommy and Gerard, his nieces, Elaine, Sandra, Majella, Alma, Marie and Paula, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, friends and neighbours and his loyal and trusted friend and neighbour, John Walsh.

Pat will be reposing in his sister-in-law Elizabeth’s residence in Calverstown (R56XP40) today, Friday 9 February from 4pm-8pm concluding with prayers at 8pm. House strictly private outside of these times, please. 

His funeral will arrive at The Church of SS Mary and Laurence, Crookstown (R14WD80) on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
