Looking forward to St Patrick's Day ... already

Kilcullen's Jim Greenway features in a piece in Channel magazine in Auckland about next month's St Patrick's Day festivities in New Zealand, writes Brian Byrne. 

He tells the magazine he'll probably head for Florrie's Irish Pub in Takapuna to celebrate the day. There's nothing like having a plan ...

Jim emigrated to Australia in the 1970s and met his New Zealand wife Wendy there, and they subsequently went to NZ where Jim has been living ever since.

He told the magazine's reporter he has only been back to Kilcullen about five or six times, but he's never far from the the 'pubs, the music, and the street performers' parts of his Irish homeland culture. It seems Florrie's is the place.
