Kilcullen Bridge Cinema 2024 screenings begin this week


Kilcullen Bridge Cinema
is excited about reopening its doors this week for the first cinema screening of 2024, writes Teresa Nurse. A busy spring is planned with lots of films on offer in Kilcullen Town Hall and Heritage Centre, beginning this Wednesday 17 January with Rye Lane, a smart, upbeat, romantic comedy. 

Make sure to get your tickets for this must-see movie, ranked at 18 in the Irish Times best movies of 2023, ahead of Barbie and Oppenheimer! Tickets are €7 and available in Woodbine Books and on Eventbrite.
On Tuesday 30 January the Kilcullen Brigid 1500 Film Season begins. On the night there will be a special launch event with refreshments served at 7.30pm. Supported by Kildare County Council and in association with Access Cinema a range of exciting films have been selected. They include award winning, acclaimed and inspiring Irish and international titles. These films celebrate the legacy of Saint Brigid and depict values of empowerment, social justice, spirituality, equality and inclusion. 
Tuesday January 6th - Herself; Tuesday February 6th - RĂ³ise and Frank; Sunday February 11th - Song of the Sea; Tuesday February 20th - Girl; and Tuesday February 27th - La Syndicaliste.
All tickets for the Brigid Film season are €5 and tickets for the family cinema day are €4. Available in Woodbine Books and on Eventbrite.
