Weekend of Advent events in Parish Church

A reminder that two Advent events in Kilcullen Parish Church are taking place this weekend, 16-17 December, which reflect the Christian spirit of Christmas in music and prayer. Both involve the participation of the Gormanstown Choir, directed by Dorly O'Sullivan, with organist accompaniment by Peter L Moloney.

The Saturday special liturgical event will be at the 6pm Vigil Mass, featuring In Festis Duplicibius Missa de Angelis (Gregorian) by the English composer William Byrd.

An Advent Carol Service on Sunday 17th will comprise a Service of Nine Lessons and Carols beginning at 3pm. With the choir will be soloist Rachel Creighton and flautist Gese Mücke, with prayers led by Fr Gary Darby PP. There will be no admission charge as it is a church service, but any donations in aid of Sacred Music in this Church will be welcomed.
