Michael Landers is design lead for new Sensational Kids HQ

A Kilcullen-born architect is the Design Team lead for a new HQ for Sensational Kids in Kildare Town, due to commence on site early next year, writes Brian Byrne.

Michael Landers is the MD of emi architects, one of the foremost Architectural Design studios in Ireland, and celebrating their 40th anniversary in business this year. The practice has Limerick and Dublin offices. Michael leads their work with several FDIs, as well as public housing with many local authorities and Approved Housing bodies.

The firm won two prestigious awards at the recent Irish Council for Social Housing Community Awards for their Stanwix Village project in Thurles, picking up the Best Restoration Project and the People’s Choice Award for 2023.

Michael is also a longtime and very talented musician and accompanied the recent Kilcullen Twinning Group visit to Saint-Contest in Normandy, providing musical accompaniment to the Jennifer Landers School of Irish Dancing which also participated in the very successful trip.
