Council asked to study amenity loop involving Corbally Harbour

Cllr Tracey O'Dwyer is asking Kildare County Council to carry out a feasibility study into linking Corbally Harbour to Newbridge and to Pollardstown Fen and on to the Milltown Canal feeder as a first step in developing a 50km amenity canal loop centred on Newbridge.

The councillor has put down a motion to this effect for the next meeting of the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District, scheduled for next Wednesday 13 December 2023 at 10am in the Council Chamber, Áras Chill Dara, Devoy Park, Naas.

This follows the recent allocation of €45,000 for the Corbally Canal and River Liffey Corridor Enhancement Feasibility study.
