The passing of Betty Hughes

The Diary has learned of the death of Elizabeth (Betty) Hughes (née Lalor), Abbey Road, Baroda Court, Newbridge, and formerly of The Derreen, Mill Street, Tullow, Co Carlow and Calverstown, Kilcullen. Betty passed away peacefully at Naas General Hospital. 

Wife of the late John, daughter of the late Patrick and Mary and sister of the late Marie, Seamus and Fintan, she is sadly missed by her loving daughter Fiona, grandchildren Ailish, Evelyn, Clodagh, John and Diarmuid, sisters and brothers, sisters and brothers in law, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Betty will be reposing at her family home from 3pm on Tuesday with rosary at 7pm. Removal by Glennons Funeral Directors on Wednesday morning to arrive at St Conleth's Parish Church, Newbridge, for requiem Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in Crookstown Cemetery. The Mass can be viewed here.
