Kilcullen online business doubles down on Retailer of the Year win

Kilcullen based online business Faerly has taken home the Online Retailer of the Year award for the second time, writes Brian Byrne.
The awards are given by Retail Excellence Ireland and this year was the 25th year they were presented. The event was compered by and was presented Hector Ó hEochagáin.
Faerly retails sustainably produced personal care and household items and was established by James Byrne and Eoin Houlihan, and recently were also joint winners of the Kildare Digital Champions People's Choice E-Commerce award. In September the company won the Sustainability category of the Irish eComm Awards for the second time.
"We are genuinely shocked and ecstatic to have taken home the award for the 2nd year in a row," they posted on their Facebook page, thanking the organisers for a 'rocking' evening. "We’re so honoured to fly the flag for small businesses who are trying to do great things."
The judges praised especially the Faerly commitment to quality and customer satisfaction that 'truly set them apart'. "We were also finalists in the Sustainable Retailer of the Year category and congrats to the winner Boots Ireland. They are doing some really great work to reduce the mountains of hard-to-recycle waste generated by the beauty industry."
The duo also expressed their thanks the customers who who have made their dream possible, and to the makers of the products they get to sell for the passion they put into them. "Thank you to our amazing little dream team — Nuria, Sarah and Gail and the two 'Houlies', Eoin and his Mum Kathleen, who are always helping out in the background.
The awards are sponsored by AIB Merchant Services.
