Mattress recycling on Sunday

A free waste mattress recycling opportunity will be provided by Kildare County Council this Sunday 8 October at the Silliot Hill amenity centre.

Opening at 9am and running until 3pm, the event is strictly for private individuals only. A maximum of six mattresses will be accepted per delivery. Divans, pillows, bed frames, foot stools, couches, armchairs will NOT be accepted at this event.

The KCC initiative is in partnership with the Regional Waste Enforcement Office and the Department of Environment, Climate and Communications.

A similar opportunity for those in the south of the county will be held on Tuesday next 10 October at the Gallowshill amenity site in Athy.
