The ladies of CPC 83 celebrating 40th reunion
Celebrating their 40 years reunion last night were members of the Class of 1983 from Cross & Passion College, writes Brian Byrne.
The event was held in Fallons Snug, with the Ireland-South Africa match competing for part of the time against the memories and catch-up time since their last time together for their 30th reunion.
"We're a mix of boarders and day pupils," said Sabina Reddy, who added that there were some present that she hadn't seen since leaving the school. "We were teenagers then, we're older now — but everyone looks the same in many way, and they're all looking fabulous!"
Since the 30th reunion, the women have kept a group WhatsApp communication going, so they all know what is going on, especially at festive times.
Your editor was back watching the match after taking the photo at half time, but I reckon there was one heck of a cheer in the Snug (as there were all over the country) at that very nerve-racking final whistle moment.
