Relevance of Brigid today for Kilcullen talk this evening

A reminder that a talk on the Relevance of St Brigid in Today's World will be given in Kilcullen Town Hall Theatre this evening 11 September, writes Brian Byrne.

Being presented by Sr Rita Minehan of Solas Bhride in Kildare, the talk begins at 8pm and all are welcome. Sr Rita is the author of Rekindling the Flame - A Pilgrimage in the Footsteps of Brigid of Kildare. 

Monday's event is the second in a series of monthly talks to celebrate Brigid 1500 being hosted in Kilcullen by the County Kildare Federation of Local History Groups. The series opened last month with a presentation on The Real St Brigid by Dr Niamh Wycherley of Maynooth University.

Other speakers scheduled between now and January are Eoghan Corry, Mario Corrigan, Liam Kenny and Mary McGrath.
