New seating at The Coffee Hatch

New outdoor seating has been installed at The Coffee Hatch at Kilcullen Community Centre, writes Brian Byrne.

The robust and weatherproof furniture is made from recycled plastic and was produced by Irish Recycled Products at Birr, Co Offaly.

The Coffee Hatch was opened at the Community Centre in January 2022 and has become a source of income for the Centre and supports a number of jobs as well being as an important social meeting space in Kilcullen.

Business got so good that a sheltered area was added in August of last year.

The AGM of the Community Centre in February of this year heard that the initiative has contributed substantially to the financial viability of the whole operation.
