An open call for writers to contribute to 'A Little Book of Brigid' being produced in Narraghmore is open for applications until 10 September.
Organised by the Blueway Art Studio in the village, the book will be composed using vintage metal type letter by letter.
The writing can be prose, verse or poetry, as anecdotes or folklore, and should be limited to 100 words or up to ten lines. The final books will be gifted in 2024 to people or institutions that support women or have campaigned for women, with consultation from Brigid 1500.
The project is being carried out by artist and printmaker Angelina Foster, with support funding from Brigid 1500 and Kildare County Council, and full details are available here.
